Description

Wood is the preferred material for most chess players as it gives a feel of quality and has a nicer touch than plastic. With our Staunton No6 Pieces you get the best of both worlds: Wooden pieces for your game at an inexpensive price. Ideally suited for someone just starting out in chess or in situations where cheaper pieces are preferred.

The pieces are made from hornbeam. The king measures 98mm in height and weighs in at approximately 30g. For the board, we recommend one with a 45mm square size.

A great choice when wooden pieces are preferred but a good price is still important. Also a wise selection for your child's first chess set. This set also comes in Size 5 and if you prefer more opulent pieces, we recommend the Size 7 pieces.
