Product Information

Matching to the rich, dark colours of the ebonised pieces from the English Antique Chess Pieces is this marvellous Wenge / Sycamore Veneer board. The dark colour of wenge wood blends aesthetically with the black pieces.

The English Elegant pieces come with a 3.25" king which weighs around the 47g mark. In the center of attention is the knight which its finely crafted teeth and mane. To add to stability and enhance balance of the pieces, they are all double weighted and a green felt on the bottom protects your board from scratches.

In order to save on both weight and cost, the wooden chess board is made from sycamore and wenge veneer — same gorgeous looks as a solid wooden board, but for a fraction of the price. It comes with a square size of 50mm and an overall dimension of 48 x 48 cm and a thickness of 13mm. Ideal where space is at a premium or when a tighter setup of the pieces is desired.
