Tournament No 3, 65mm

Description

The "Tournament No3" makes a great choice if you are on the look for a smaller-sized complete Staunton chess set. Pieces are neatly stored away in their individual compartments in the board's insert tray which gives this set a superior feel over boards where the pieces are loosely placed in it.

The chess pieces are made from hornbeam and the king measures a height of approximately 65mm with a weight of just 8g. For the board, it is inlaid with mahogany and sycamore, it's foldable and has a nice green insert for the storage of its chess pieces. Its squares are 37.5mm in size. Altogether, the set weighs only 900g!

The Tournament is an ideal choice for your first professional chess set but it's also great for clubs and your home as it can easily and neatly be stored away when not in use. Its small size also means it won't take up much space on your shelf. All you need for your start and progression in the Royal Game!
